Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team. The LPN will provide essential patient care under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians, ensuring the highest standards of care for individuals with various medical needs. The ideal candidate will have experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and possess a strong understanding of medical terminology and patient care protocols.
Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care, including administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and assisting with daily living activities.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Conduct diagnostic evaluations and assist in the management of patients in various settings, including urgent care and pediatric intensive care units (PICU).
- Provide IV infusion therapy as needed and educate patients on their treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in accordance with healthcare regulations.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and infection control measures while providing care.
- Support patients with developmental disabilities by promoting their independence and well-being.
Experience
- Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
- Familiarity with DME (Durable Medical Equipment) usage is a plus.
- Proficient in medical terminology and physiology knowledge to effectively communicate patient needs.
- Experience in travel nursing or diverse clinical settings is advantageous.
- Strong skills in patient care, diagnostic evaluation, and urgent care practices are highly valued.
