Job Title: Registered Nurse – Stepdown
Location: New York, NY 10029
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | Every other weekend and holidays required
Hours: 3x12-hour shifts

Job Summary:
Mount Sinai Hospital is seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse for a Stepdown Unit on a contract basis. The Clinical Nurse will provide safe, high-quality, evidence-based care to a diverse patient population. This role requires critical thinking, collaboration, and compassionate care delivery in alignment with Mount Sinai’s Relationship-Centered Care model.

Key Responsibilities:
Patient Care:
Deliver nursing care using the nursing process: assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient-centered care plans.
Perform therapeutic interventions and manage patient transitions effectively.
Educate patients and families about diagnoses, medications, and post-discharge care.
Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of care in compliance with standards.

Required Skills and Experience:
Active NYS RN License
BLS (AHA) certification
Minimum 2 years of RN experience
At least 2 years of cardiology, telemetry, or VAD experience
EPIC experience highly preferred
1 year of travel nursing experience preferred (not required for per diem roles)

Education Requirements:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) accepted with relevant experience and/or active enrollment in a BSN program
